Team USA gears up for FIBA Tournament
Team USA is back in training camp this week in Las Vegas in preparation for the upcoming FIBA Tournament of the America's Championship running from 8/22 thru 9/2 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. At stake is a berth to the Olympics next summer in China. Team USA must finish in 1st or 2nd place to gain an automatic berth into the Olympics. The tournament features 10 national teams from North America, South America, Central America and the Caribbean. Countries competing include 2004 Olympic gold medal champion Argentina, the 2007 Pan America Games champion Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico, the U.S. Virgin Islands, host United States, Uruguay and Venezuela. If Team USA fails to finish in one of the top two spots, they will then have one final chance to qualify for the Olympics through another tournament to be held next year. Team USA features superstars Kobe Bryant, Lebron James, Carmelo Anthony, Jason Kidd, Amare Stoudemire and many other NBA stars. Make sure to check our FIBA Tournament schedule at http://ticketrequest.com/sports.html and make your plans to attend the game of your choice! Personally, I am anxious for this tournament and plan on attending the Semifinals on 9/1 and the Finals on 9/2. I'm expecting Team USA to make it to the Finals and am looking forward to a weekend trip to Vegas to check out the action!
