One of the more highly anticipated tours of the decade thus far kicked off last night, as rock icons Van Halen took the stage with original singer David Lee Roth for the first time in over 20 years. Reviews of their first show have been universally glowing as the reunited band members played as if the last 20 years never happened. Guitarist Eddie Van Halen appears as if his recent stint in rehab did him a world of good as he looked to be in very good health and his guitar playing remains stellar. Lead Singer Diamond Dave remains the consumate showman and is receiving postive reviews on his singing as he consistently hit the high notes. Drummer Alex Van Halen and Bassist Wolfgang Van Halen (son of Eddie) also received very complimentary reviews. All in all, the band members appear to be getting along great and the musicanship is said to be top notch.
